The adjacent Vera Katz Sidewalk Park, or Sliver Park, includes a bioswale for stormwater treatment and a water channel of sculpted black basalt.  The water feature design, by Scott Murase of landscape architect firm Murase Associates, is part of the building's storm water management and is fed by roof runoff.
