The north face (Anqosh Face) of Huascarán Sur (South) 6,768m (centre) and the northeast face of Huascarán Norte (North) 6,664m (right). The col that separates the two summits of Huascarán is known as the Garganta (literally: throat). Viewed from Chopicalqui Base Camp 4,400m. The Anqosh Face was climbed by Carlos Buhler and Sharon Wood between 24 and 29 July, 1985. The lefthand skyline below Huascarán Sur is the Spanish (East) Ridge.
