Whilamut Passage Bridge (2011 & 2013), official name for the Willamette River Interstate-5 Bridges, a pair of new deck arch concrete bridges spanning the Willamette River at Eugene in Lane County, Oregon. The name honors the area’s native population. Construction began in 2009; the west span was completed in 2011, and the east span was completed and opened in August 2013. They carry Interstate-5 traffic and replaced an earlier bridge completed in 1961. Contractors: Hamilton Construction Company / Slayden Construction.
