Green Roof Runoff Flow Monitoring Flume At Hamilton Building
Trapezoidal flume used to measure runoff rate from an Ecoroof. This type of flume is well suited to monitoring runoff from Green Roofs because of its accurate flow measurement down to 1 gpm. Ecoroof Demonstration and Test Project, Hamilton West Apartments at SW 12th Avenue and Clay Street. A joint project between the Housing Authority of Portland and City of Portland Bureau of Environmental Services to demonstrate and test Green Roof / Living Roof performance. The City maintains and monitors the roof, while measuring stormwater capture and runoff quality against soil properties and vegetation selection.
