Hawthorne Bridge Dramatic Sky, Portland
The Hawthorne Bridge is the oldest remaining highway structure across the Willamette River. Designed by Waddell and Harrington of Kansas City, and constructed in 1910 by the Pennsylvania Steel Company, the layout is a Parker through-truss design with vertical lift span between 165-foot-tall towers.
