About Andrew Haliburton

Andrew Haliburton is internationally published in Mountains and Mountaineering as well as the Architecture / Engineering environment.

Uniquely qualified to serve the architecture and engineering industry, Andrew draws on the experience of twenty years as a professional civil engineer to deliver powerful, pertinent images of structures and art works in the built environment.

Andrew's mountaineering and landscape stock images have been published world-wide in books, calendars, magazines and corporate publications.

South Africa's Drakensberg mountain range in the uKhahlamba Drakensberg Park - inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2000 - is a personal focus. Growing up in the local province of KwaZulu-Natal, he was captivated by the majesty and power of this range from an early age. This is also where he learned the craft of climbing and mountaineering.

A mountaineer for over twenty years, Andrew has been active in mountain search and rescue for most of these years and served as Convener of Search and Rescue for three years. He has climbed extensively in Africa, Europe, the Himalaya and in the USA.

Andrew is based in Portland, Oregon. He frequently travels abroad, including leading photo tours to South Africa.
